Laundry for Beginners: Do Laundry Like a Pro!

Laundry can be a daunting task if you've never done it before or tried and didn't have spectacular results. But don't worry, laundry is easy once you know how to do it. There are many ways to get your clothes clean, but if you're not sure what the best way is, then I have good news. Laundry isn't as hard or impossible once you know how to do it. Follow these 6 simple steps, and do laundry like a pro!

6 Laundry Tips: From Beginner to Pro

  1. Sort your laundry into Whites, Darks, and Delicates

    - This will help you prevent clothes from bleeding onto other garments and ruining them. Check the care instructions on each garment; this will help decide what pile each item belongs in.
  2. Choose the proper water temperature and cycle for each load of laundry

    – Typically, whites and linens use hot water, colors get washed in warm water, dark clothes and delicate use cold water. Again, check the care instructions on each garment for help.
  3. Add detergent to the washing machine

    - There are generally three types of detergent: powder, liquid, and pods. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages, so choose the best suits your needs. Powder detergent can be difficult to dissolve in cold water, and liquid detergent is easy to use and dissolve. Pods are the most convenient because they pre-measure the amount of detergent you need. Make sure to read the instructions on the Detergent Packet for guidance on how much detergent to use.

  1. Remove clothes from the washer and put them in the dryer

    - You can either dry your laundry on a clothesline outside or in a dryer. If you are using a dryer, read the care label on your clothing, as some items should not go in the dryer. You can also add a dryer sheet to soften your clothes and help prevent static electricity.
  2. Fold clothes when dry

    - Once your laundry is sorted, washed, and dried, it is time to fold and put away.
  3. Forget all this

    – Drop your clothes off at Wavemax Laundry and let us take care of them!

And that's it; you’re done! Laundry doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming if you follow these simple steps.
